Kenya

Things to do - general

The Republic of Kenya with its capital of Nairobi lies on the equator in Africa with the Indian Ocean to the south east, Tanzania to the South and Uganda on its western border.

Warm humid climate along the coastline and rich wildlife grasslands inland towards the capital. Nairobi has a warm savannah climate and becomes colder closer towards the snow-capped Mount Kenya.

The British Empire established the East Africa Protectorate in 1895 giving way to the Kenya Colony. The country obtained its Independence from the British in December 1963.

Kenya devotes vast tracks of land to wildlife including the Masai Mara where up to 2 Million Blue Wildebeest participate in an annual migration from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara and is an experience of a lifetime to the traveler. This event takes place once a year and is a must see to experience one of natures wonders.

Apart from the annual Wildebeest migration, Kenya hosts a range of Adventure Safaris to the more traditional expedition that the traveler can participate in. Take a walk on the wild side or view this great country from a hot air balloon.

Partnering with one of the most renowned ground handlers in the country, Adventour is able to offer a variety of Adventure and Luxury Safaris to Kenya and its neighboring Tanzania. Contact us for more information on your next Adventure to Africa’s game viewing and safari paradise.
